Lyon are pushing to sign Nordsjaelland winger Ernest Nuamah (19) on loan, according to a report this Saturday from L’Équipe. The 19-year-old Ghana international is one of the most sought-after players in Europe, having already scored 20 goals in 49 games played with the Superligaen side. This season, he has found the back of the net four times in as many games played. Nuamah was also linked with a move to PSG, Reims and AFC Ajax earlier this summer. Now it appears that Olympique Lyonnais have stolen a march on the remaining clubs in the race to sign Nuamah.

The French publication understands that Lyon have been working for weeks to lure the Ghanaian prospect over a loan move which would include a mandatory option to buy. It appears Les Gones have proven convincing, with L’Équipe reporting that Nuamah is keen on a move to the Groupama Stadium. Lyon head of recruitment Matthieu Louis-Jean has reportedly been closely following Nuamah’s rise to stardom. So much so, that Louis-Jean wanted to bring the Nordsjaelland winger to his former club, Olympique de Marseille.
