Lyon set to complete the signing of Abner from Real Bétis | OneFootball

According to L’Équipe, Lyon are set to complete the signing of left back Abner (23) from Real Bétis. The Brazilian is set to cost Les Gones a fee of €8m. However, the move is subject to approval from the DNCG after the club’s previous transfer difficulties experienced in the summer of 2023.

The 23-year-old should sign a 5-year contract at the Groupama Stadium upon the completion of his move from the La Liga club. Abner is set to be a direct replacement for Henrique. The Lyon left back’s contract is set to expire in June and with no signs of a new deal, he should leave OL on a free transfer. Botafogo and Standard Liège are both interested in signing the Lyon defender, according to Foot Mercato.

Tagliafico to leave?

It seems that the future of World Cup winner Nicolás Tagliafico is not certain at Lyon. The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from Les Gones and L’Équipe report that OL would look to recruit another left-sided full-back if Tagliafico was to leave the club.
