Ousmane Touré / LOSC vs Brest / Ligue 1
Very bad news for Ousmane Touré and LOSC. Injured and forced off last Sunday against Brest, the young Lille defender now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Medical examinations have confirmed a cruciate ligament rupture.
Ousmane Touré left the Francis-Le Blé pitch in the 52nd minute after a clash with a Brest player. The club’s medical staff confirmed the seriousness of the injury, which puts his season in jeopardy just as he was breaking into the first team with high ambitions.
“Ousmane Touré, LOSC defender, who was injured during the match against Brest on Sunday, August 17, has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, which will require surgical intervention,” LOSC announced in an official statement.
Since the start of the 2025-2026 season, Ousmane Touré has played in two Ligue 1 matches. He has yet to score or provide an assist, but his promising profile had caught the eye of the technical staff as a reinforcement for the right flank. His recovery is expected to take several months.
