An update on the wellbeing of Sevilla star Loïc Badé has come to the fore, ahead of the club’s return to action this weekend.

The info comes courtesy of Diario de Sevilla, as cited by Marca, and points towards stopper Badé inching ever closer to his comeback to the pitch.

The 23-year-old was forced to sit out the Nervionenses’ final outing before the international break, owing to a calf injury.

And his absence was sorely felt by Quique’s troops, en route to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.

Having begun ramping up his recovery efforts over recent days, though, Badé is in line to go through a fresh round of fitness tests on Wednesday.

Should the tests give rise to the desired results, the Frenchman is expected to be given the green light to finish out his recovery, linking back up with his Sevilla teammates in full training.

Should as much not prove the case, however, Badé could require a fresh round of treatment, throwing his status to face Getafe on Saturday afternoon firmly up in the air.
