Liverpool team bus arrived 20mins after Real Madrid due to traffic jam

Liverpool's lead-up to the Champions League final stalled as their team bus was stuck in a traffic jam ahead of the game.

The Reds found themselves at a standstill on the roads of Paris as they made their way to the Stade de France, which is located just north of the city.

Liverpool eventually lost at the Stade de France 1-0 to Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp's side ended up arriving at the Stade de France 20 minutes after their opponents, who were already out familiarising themselves with the pitch.

There will be questions raised over the efficiency of the team's police escort, which is supposed to ensure safe passage to the ground.
