Liverpool moved closer to winning the Premier League title as Arsenal drew 1-1 against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

But Yoane Wissa salvaged a draw for the visitors by netting an equaliser with a superb acrobatic finish.

The stalemate continues Arsenal’s run of poor form in the English top-flight. They have won just two of their last seven matches.

Liverpool can now move 13 points clear at the top of the standings with victory against West Ham United on Sunday.

The Hammers have had a massively underwhelming campaign, and Liverpool are expected to win the game.

Arne Slot’s side need just nine more points to clinch the title. Wins against West Ham, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur will guarantee top spot.

If Arsenal lose to Ipswich Town next Sunday, Liverpool will be crowned champions if they win their next two matches.

However, the Tractor Boys have won just four times this season and are currently 12 points adrift of safety.
