There are no excuses - they need to get themselves back on track now if they are to give themselves the best chance of securing a Premier League return.

With the calibre of players they have at their disposal and the fact they have a game in hand, Leicester have to be the favourites to win the league title, especially with their automatic promotion rivals stumbling too.

But the game isn't played on paper and they need to win some tough games to finish in the top two.

When the season ends, headlines involving the Foxes may not die down with their alleged financial fair play breach and the potential need to sell players in mind.

And there are plenty of stories and opinions flying around regarding potential ins and outs at the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham and Brighton boost involving Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester demanded £40m+ for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall during the January window, according to Football Insider.

That's a hefty price tag for a Championship player, but the same outlet believes he could now be sold for as little as £30m, with the Foxes potentially needing to cash in on players to try and ensure they remain within financial limits.

Realistically, the club could raise at least £30m from his potential sale considering he's only 25, has performed brilliantly this term and has a contract that doesn't expire until the summer of 2027.

Tottenham and Brighton are two teams that have been linked with a move for the midfielder, but whether they make summer approaches for him remains to be seen.

Keith Wyness warns of a potential Leicester City firesale this summer on key condition

Pundit Keith Wyness believes a firesale could potentially be on the cards early on this summer if Leicester aren't promoted at the end of this term.

With the Foxes losing £89.7m last term, they have a big deficit to make up if they are to remain within the financial fair play limits for this season (which ends on June 30th), and sales of key players may be required.

On this subject, Wyness told Football Insider: "They’d have to take some serious action (if they aren't promoted).

"With the parachute payments, after the first year – if you don’t go up – it’s a big roll of the dice. For a third year, it’s even bigger. The payments stop, and that will be the biggest issue for Leicester.

"If they don’t go up, they’ll have the playoffs to go through. I’ve been through that agony if you miss out, I know what that’s like.

"If they don’t get the job done automatically or through the playoffs, then three or four top players could be sold very quickly – before the accounts cut-off on 30 June.

"It could become a fire sale. The demand won’t be high, but there are quality players."

Leicester City target Brazilian market

Alan Nixon has revealed that the automatic promotion contenders are currently scouting the Brazilian market ahead of the summer transfer window.

Maresca, according to the same journalist, is keen to improve his options at the King Power Stadium following their recent dip and could find some solutions in South America.

Scout Sean St Ledger, who previously played as a defender for the Foxes, has looked at a couple of targets as they look to complete some bargain deals.

They can't afford to spend too much with their FFP worries in mind.

Kelechi Iheanacho attracting interest

Kelechi Iheanacho is the subject of interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor, according to Milliyet.

The Nigerian's contract at the King Power expires this summer and with this in mind, the striker has a lot of power over where his next destination is.

With Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka and longer-term option Tom Cannon potentially available as alternative forward options for the Foxes next term, Iheanacho may fancy his chances elsewhere.
