Leeds United have agreed a deal worth around £10 million with Leicester City for the transfer of James Justin, according to the Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath.

Leeds want to strengthen at the back at the Elland Road club, and the one-cap England international has been on their radar all summer.

Justin is having his medical at Thorp Arch ahead of joining the Whites, and the 27-year-old is expected to become their tenth signing since their return to the Premier League.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke watched on helplessly on Saturday as Arsenal demolished his side 5-0 at Emirates Stadium to hand them a reality check.

The addition of Justin will not stop them from suffering similar defeats going forward, but his imminent arrival will come in handy.

However, the versatile Leicester full-back brings much-needed experience to the table at the back and could be a great influence in the dressing room.

Justin played 36 Premier League games last term, weighing in with two goals and two assists, and Leeds need his attacking and defensive qualities as they look to navigate life at the top level again.

He has played almost 100 English top-flight games, and the Whites are getting someone who knows what staying up and relegating from the Premier League means.

The West Yorkshire club have added Noah Okafor, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha, Lucas Perri, Lukas Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff to their ranks so far.

They need to make more quality recruitment going by their performance against the Gunners, and more arrivals could be on the way after Justin is signed.

Leeds are back in action on Tuesday when they face Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the Carabao Cup at Hillsborough Stadium.

They resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against Newcastle United at Elland Road, and Farke and his men need to pick up all three points.
