The Whites are preparing for their first Premier League game of the season against Everton this evening, but boss Daniel Farke is still keen to strengthen the squad ahead of the transfer deadline.

Bringing in a new full-back is one of the priorities for Leeds in the next two weeks, and it was reported that Justin is a target for the Yorkshire outfit.

James Justin injury throws Leeds United move in doubt

Despite the speculation, the 27-year-old has been playing for the Foxes, starting their two games, which were a win over Sheffield Wednesday before the defeat at Deepdale on Saturday.

However, Justin didn’t complete the full 90 minutes against North End due to an injury issue he picked up, and the Sky Sports Transfer Centre (13:52) revealed that could have an impact on any deal.

Whilst the update explains that the full extent of Justin’s leg injury isn’t clear at the moment, Leeds are waiting to discover how serious the problem is, and they add that the top-flight side are ready to move on to alternative options if the ex-Luton man is out for a lengthy period.

Leicester City will want James Justin situation sorted quickly

Justin has had terrible luck with injuries over the years, and it has seriously hindered his career, as there is every chance he would have many more England caps if he had stayed fit.

But, these things happen in football, and even though Justin hasn’t rediscovered his best form, Marti Cifuentes still values the player, evident by the fact he has been in the XI for the first two league games.

To Justin’s credit, he has carried on playing with this transfer talk in the background, and now it’s a case of waiting and seeing how bad the injury is.

From Leeds’ perspective, they will obviously want him brought in to make an impact, and Leicester will want a quick decision, as they will have to enter the market to replace Justin if he is sold.
