If we believe a supposed claim from genuine sources of a media outlet, Leicester City are lining up transfers. In fact, the King Power club are interesting in making a couple of new signings. We were previously told by Foxes manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy, as well as journalists, that LCFC have funds to complete acquisitions in the New Year.
Once the January transfer market is active, the east Midlands outfit will possibly also rearrange their loan deals. We've heard a lot about that possible scenario too. Leicester will wish to keep hold of Facundo Buonanotte, although he is coveted by parent club Brighton & Hove Albion. Meanwhile City should return Odsonne Edouard to Crystal Palace. The Frenchman is unwanted on Filbert Way, it seems. Not to mention Eagles gaffer Oliver Glasner suggesting he doesn't want Edouard either!
However, we were told that Leicester only seek attacking reinforcements at present. That would be a major mistake if true, because the Foxes don't even have one competently performing defender at the moment. The centre half area is arguably the most disappointing and concerning area; Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard are, respectfully, totally inept. Yet Victor Kristiansen and James Justin have given them a run for their money regarding pathetic performances.
Maybe these factors are why City chiefs have, at this stage, reportedly change their minds. With improvements in defence and a prospective centre back addition now the apparent order of the day. Let's see what's going on in LCFC's recruitment department.
Leicester have conceded the second most Premier League goals this season; a statistic which is obviously unacceptable. Something must be done! It is said that people in charge at the King Power have noted that an 'upgrade' is required. With a tremendously difficult run of matches upcoming, LCFC have decided to seek a fresh defensive man:
