Besiktas is on the verge of sealing Wilfred Ndidi's transfer, but the Nigerian midfielder has yet to make his decision.
Wilfred Ndidi
Having joined Leicester City in January 2017, Wilfred Ndidi could be set to turn the page this summer after more than 250 appearances in the Foxes shirt. An agreement has been reached between the English club and Besiktas for the Nigerian's move to Turkey's Super Lig.
Besiktas is pulling out all the stops to sign Wilfred Ndidi this summer. According to the latest reports, the Istanbul side has taken a decisive step forward by agreeing to pay the £9 million release clause (around €10.5 million) for the Nigerian midfielder. Besiktas is offering Ndidi a three-year contract with an option for a fourth season.
While the player is expected in Istanbul for his medical and to finalize personal terms, he is still hesitating to give the green light. The 28-year-old is taking his time to weigh his options. Fenerbahçe, another Turkish giant, is also in the running, as are several Bundesliga clubs—a destination the player reportedly wants to prioritize. Everton and other English sides are also closely monitoring the situation.
