Lazio are reportedly among a host of Serie A clubs keeping an eye on Vasco Da Gama full-back Lucas Piton.
The 24-year-old is a Brazilian player born in Jundiai, but also holds an Italian passport. He started his career at Corinthians before moving to Vasco in January 2023. The left-back has been making leaps and bounds over the past few campaigns, and has also been showcasing a knack for scoring goals. This season, he has thus far contributed with six goals and seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
According to Brazilian newspaper Fussnalleuropa (via LazioNews24), several Italian clubs are vying for Piton’s signature. Aside from Lazio, the list includes the Biancocelesti’s arch-rivals Roma, as well as Milan and Fiorentina.
The left-back penned a new contract with the Brazilian club earlier this year, pushing back the deadline until December 2028. The deal also includes a release clause worth €9 million. Nevertheless, the source claims Vasco Da Gama would be willing to accept an offer in the region of €7.5 million.
Nevertheless, it should be noted that Lazio are already covered at left-back with Nuno Tavares presenting himself as one of the most devastating full-backs in Europe this season, and Luca Pellegrini proving to be a reliable understudy. The duo should complete permanent transfers from Arsenal and Juventus respectively at the end of the season.
