An Argentinian source claims that Lazio are willing to sell Taty Castellanos for the right offer, amidst interest from the Premier League.
The 26-year-old was the ultimate starter upfront in Marco Baroni’s lineup last season, but some believe his place in the team is now threatened under Maurizio Sarri. After all, Boulaye Dia has been turned from a supporting striker into a challenger for the centre-forward role.
In previous months, at least five clubs were linked with the former Girona striker, including West Ham United and Nottingham Forest. However, Lazio president Claudio Lotito and the club’s sporting director Angelo Fabiani closed the door on all major sales after being slapped with a transfer ban, thus preventing the Aquile from buying replacements this summer.

Nevertheless, reputable Argentinian journalist Cesar Luis Merlo revealed that Castellanos’ exit remains possible. In his interview with Chiamarsibomber.com (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the market expert insisted that the player and Lazio are both looking to extend their collaboration, but neither party has completely ruled out a departure.
While the striker feels comfortable at Formello, Merlo believes that he would be willing to entertain interesting proposals. For their part, Lazio would give Castellanos the green light to leave if they receive an offer worth at least €35 million. In this case, the player would be given the freedom to decide.
The journalist confirms that the Argentinian has suitors in the Premier League, but without naming any clubs. Nevertheless, he claims that the offers that arrived from England were in the region of €20 million. Hence, they fell far off Lazio’s asking price, andd as things stand at the moment, Castellanos is likely to remain in Rome.
