Lazio are searching for a natural backup to Ciro Immobile and have identified Elche’s Lucas Boye as a strong option.
The recent injury to the 32-year-old Italian striker, who has been ruled out of action until after the World Cup, has left the Biancocelesti without any natural strikers, forcing Maurizio Sarri to adapt a wide player like Pedro or Matteo Cancellieri. The Lazio coach wanted a new backup forward in the summer but one didn’t arrive, and now he’s left with the situation he wanted to avoid.
