Juventus use Huijsen to get Koopmeiners edge | OneFootball

According to reports, Juventus could use defender Dean Huijsen to give them the edge in the race for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

The Dutch international is hot property on the transfer market after numerous impressive performances for La Dea since his €14m transfer from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2021.

He scored 12 goals in 34 competitive games this season, along with four assists.

This has attracted interest from the likes of Inter, Milan, Manchester United and more, but the favourites are known to be Juventus and Liverpool.

La Gazzetta dello Sport notes that the Bianconeri hope to gain a crucial advantage in the race by offering defender Huijsen to Atalanta as part of the deal.

The centre-back is currently on loan at Roma and he too has vastly increased his transfer value with those performances.

Liverpool face Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-finals and could use that opportunity to discuss the Koopmeiners situation with the Bergamo side.
