Burnley are closing in on the shock signing of Kyle Walker from Manchester City according to the ever-reliable David Ornstein.
The 96-time capped England international is having medical checks ahead of the switch to Turf Moor, which will see him work under Tottenham teammate Scott Parker.
The reported fee is £5million, which City will receive if all conditions are met, and a two-year contract is mooted for the 35-year-old right back.
Walker started last season as captain of Pep Guardiola's all conquering side, but his form dipped just as City's did, and he departed mid-season to join Milan on loan.
His time in Italy was not a major success, and he will now resume his Premier League career at the other end of the table in what represents a significant coup for newly-promoted Burnley.
