Juventus and Fiorentina met today to discuss Nico Gonzalez, but are no closer to an agreement, as the price-tag is €10m more than the offer with Atalanta in the wings.

According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the encounter took place this afternoon and showed a distinct lack of progress.

The proposal on the table from Juve is €30m including add-ons, structured as a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.

However, the Viola have decided they want €40m to sell the Argentina international and have told the Bianconeri to boost the bid.

Fiorentina set Nico Gonzalez asking price

If Atalanta were to sell Ademola Lookman, although Paris Saint-Germain appear to have stepped back from making a formal offer, then La Dea would be ready to compete for Nico Gonzalez.

The player has not participated in any official games this season, as he is widely expected to move on, but Fiorentina made it clear they’ll sell to the highest bidder.

The 26-year-old scored 16 goals and provided five assists in 44 competitive appearances for the Tuscans last season.

Meanwhile, the clubs also discussed other players, as Arthur Melo and Filip Kostic could join Fiorentina on loan.
