Juventus have opened up room for an addition on the right wing by selling Timothy Weah to Olympique Marseille, and the new names on their radar are Arnau Martinez and Wilfried Singo, who aren’t overly expensive, TuttoSport informs.
The 22-year-old has been a staple for Girona in recent campaigns, accumulating 162 appearances and recording 9 goals and 18 assists. He has 12 caps with Spain U-21, while he has yet to be selected for the senior team. His price tag is around €10/12M. It remains to be seen whether his side will be willing to replace both fullbacks. Miguel Gutierrez is one step away from joining Napoli.
In addition to Arnau Martinez, Juventus have laid eyes on Singo, who’s not untouchable for Monaco. He headed to Ligue 1 after a solid run at Torino. He has put up 4 goals and 4 assists in 60 matches with his current team.
The Old Lady is tracking several alternatives, including dated targets like Nahuel Molina and Dodo, a couple of veterans, Mainz’s Silvan Widmer and Nice’s Jonathan Clauss, and a starlet, Atalanta’s Marco Palestra.
They need to decide whether Joao Mario is going to be the starter or a deputy and will have to do that before seeing him in action in real matches. The jury is still out on that. The plethora of options suggests that they aren’t close to anybody. Since it’s one of their most glaring holes, they should go the extra mile for a real difference-maker. If history serves as a lesson, Dodo would be the most likely addition if they decided to make a splash.
