Legendary Italian striker Fabrizio Ravanelli insists Inter Milan are adamant about celebrating the Scudetto with a win over AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri have been in command since the start of the season, sitting on top of the league standings

While Juventus initially emerged as a competitor, a mid-season crisis ruled them out of the title picture. This has paved the way for what appears to be an inevitable Inter triumph.

Simone Inzaghi’s men currently boast a 14-point cushion on top of the charts with only six rounds remaining. Their odds of clinching the league title are extremely high, to say the least. They are almost as high as the odds of winning at ThePokies while enjoying fun casino games.

The Nerazzurri are now only one victory away from mathematically securing the Scudetto title.

But while the writing has been on the wall for quite some time, now few would have imagined the prospect of clinching the league title in the Derby della Madonnina.

This Monday, Inter will take on AC Milan at San Siro. If they were to beat Stefano Pioli’s men, they would be able to celebrate their triumph in front of their crosstown rivals.

That would be a particularly tough pill to swallow for the Rossoneri. The two clubs are currently on par with 19 league titles for each. They have been racing to reach the 20th Scudetto which unlocks the second golden star.

Hence, Ravanelli believes Inter will be eager to finish the job on Monday, making history in the process.

“Inter will play the Derby to win,” noted the former Juventus and Middlesbrough striker in his interview with TV Play via FcInterNews.

“In the last matches against Milan, they have always managed to beat the Rossoneri.

“I think the Nerazzurri will want to do everything they can to celebrate the Scudetto in the derby, it would be a major achievement for them.”

In the reverse fixture, Inter thrashed their opponents by five goals to one. This was deemed to be a historic event due to the heavy result.

Yet, a Derby della Madonnina that ends with a Scudetto triumph would be an even grander occasion.

The match kicks off on Monday at 20:45 CET. While the Nerazzurri were the designated home side in September, the Diavolo will act as hosts this time around.
