Lionel Messi's short time in North America so far has been nothing short of spectacular.
Let's take a look at some of his best moments with the Herons since signing for the club in 2023.
After missing out on the MLS Cup Playoffs in the 2023 campaign, the pressure was piled on Messi and his Inter Miami teammates to rebound in 2024.
They started the season in dramatic fashion, snatching a late draw away to a resurgent LA Galaxy thanks to a superb one-two between Messi and his former Barcelona teammate, Jordi Alba.
While it wasn't his debut for the club overall, Messi announced himself on the MLS stage in a way only one of the greatest players of all-time could.
After coming off the bench on the hour-mark with the game hanging in the balance, Messi linked up with teammate Benjamin Cremaschi to open his account in MLS and put the game to bed for Miami.
When Messi is in town, he brings the spectacle with him. That's exactly what happened when Inter Miami traveled to the midwest to square off with Sporting KC in front of over 70,000 people at Arrowhead Stadium, where the game was moved to accommodate the hoards that flocked to the city to see the magician play.
Messi made it more than worth it for those who traveled to support both sides, turning and firing a rocket into the top-corner to give the Herons a lead in the second-half.
It was perhaps the most anticipated moment in North American soccer in recent memory, Lionel Messi's debut for Inter Miami and his introduction to North American soccer.
It came in the Leagues Cup however, as Messi came off the bench to announce himself as officially on the scene with that winner from a free-kick in stoppage-time to beat Mexican side Cruz Azul.
It was a story for the ages. A struggling Inter Miami team brings in Lionel Messi mid-season, just in time for the start of the inaugural Leagues Cup, a dramatic competition between MLS and Liga MX sides in the United States.
After producing moment of magic after moment of magic in the tournament, Messi lead his side all the way to the final and helped produce the first piece of silverware for the club, and his first in the Miami shirt.
Was it the first of many to come?
