The transfer team at Juventus have directed their attentions towards Spain, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the back.
That’s according to Nicola Balice, who have provided a fresh insight into the transfer market plans of the Bianconeri on Thursday.
Cristiano Giuntoli and co. are understood to have come to the definitive decision that Alex Sandro will be allowed to depart as a free agent in the summer of 2024. In turn, Juve are expected to target a left-footed defender capable of lining out at centre-half as his replacement.
And one such option comes in the form of Atlético Madrid star Mario Hermoso. Hermoso was tipped as a potential arrival in Turin this past summer, after being identified as a potential cut-price option ahead of the expiration of his contract next year.
In the end, however, a transfer failed to come to fruition. But Juventus remain keen fans of the talents of the 28-year-old, with Calciomercato pointing towards the Old Lady readying a fresh swoop for his services over the months ahead. He has also been linked with a move to the Bianconeri in recent weeks.
