Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has apologised to Palermo after the way Italy left the dressing room after last week's World Cup playoff defeat to North Macedonia.

Palermo workers found the Renzo Barbera home dressing room a mess, with one taking a video and posting it to social media.

Bonucci said this morning: "We apologise for the way we left the locker room at the Palermo stadium, we will certainly be more careful next time.

"We were very disappointed and did not pay attention to these details, but they make a difference.

"In the next matches we will ask for more cleaning material to manage and throw away the garbage. We apologise for how we have done it."
