Jules Koundé interest denied, but PSG are keen on another Barcelona star | OneFootball

An update on the plans of French champions Paris Saint-Germain to raid the playing squad at Spanish counterparts Barcelona has today been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, who have assured that, in fact, PSG are not interested in either Jules Koundé, or Héctor Fort.

The names of both Koundé, and Fort, took their places front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital on Tuesday night.

As much came after word was forthcoming in the Spanish media that both had been identified as targets on the part of the board at the Parc des Princes, with a view to next season.

It was even suggested that negotiations over a potential deal for Koundé were ongoing.

As per the aforementioned Sport, however, this could not be further from the truth.

Whilst PSG are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back this summer, they do not consider either Koundé or Fort as priority targets.

One member of Xavi’s Barcelona squad who remains firmly in the sights of the capital outfit, though, comes in the form of midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Dutch international De Jong is a long-time target of PSG, who positioned themselves in the race for his services prior to the 26-year-old linking up with Barca from Ajax.

And, though adding fresh blood in defence will be prioritised by the French giants in the summer, De Jong could yet be the subject of a fresh approach, too.
