Getafe are already setting their sights on the summer transfer window, and one area they need to address is right-back. The long-serving Damian Suarez left during the winter in favour of a move to Brazil, and a replacement is required for next season.

They’re going for a familiar face, according to Diario AS, with Jose Bordalas leading the charge for Valencia’s Dimitri Foulquier. Bordalas managed the Frenchman at Los Che, and also during the 2018-29 season at Getafe, when he was on loan.

Foulquier is well-liked at Getafe for his battle-hardened style and his commitment in every match. In this sense, he is seen as an ideal successor to Damian Suarez, who became an infamous figure in La Liga for his playing style at the Coliseum.

Valencia are likely to allow Foulquier to leave in the summer, as they already have Thierry Correia on their books at right-back. There’s a good chance that this deal comes to fruition, provided that Getafe push for it.
