Jan Zimmermann joins RB Leipzig coaching team

RB Leipzig have added another assistant coach to their staff: Jan Zimmermann (45) has signed a contract through to 2027, completing the coaching team alongside Ole Werner, Tom Cichon, Patrick Kohlmann and goalkeeping coach Frederik Gößling.

The Hannover native most recently led Borussia Dortmund’s U23s from February 2023 to May 2025. Prior to that, the former midfielder was in charge of Hannover 96 and TSV Havelse.
