Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito is “proud” to make his Serie A debut despite it coming in a 1-2 loss to Udinese.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram after the match to give his thoughts on his first appearance in the Italian top flight.
Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito came off the bench in the second half of yesterday’s match against Udinese.

The newly-minted Italian international was not available against Torino in Inter’s season opener. That is because he was serving a one-match suspension resulting from accumulation of yellow cards.
However, Pio Esposito was available yesterday. And with Inter chasing the game, coach Cristian Chivu decided to turn to the young striker.
These were difficult circumstances in which to come onto the pitch for Pio Esposito.
And unfortunately for the 20-year-old and his teammates, he was unable to have the desired impact to turn the result around.
Nevertheless, it was still a big moment for Pio Esposito personally.
The young striker showed that he will not just be a bit part player for Inter this season. Chivu will trust him with a prominent role in the Nerazzurri’s attack.
After the match, Pio Esposito wrote that “it certainly wasn’t the result I was dreaming of.”
“But that can’t erase my immense sense of pride at making my debut in Serie A, in this shirt and this stadium.”
