Where do you fit into the Racing dressing room? "When I arrived in Strasbourg almost two years ago, I joined the group for a training camp and it was Dimitri Liénard who welcomed me. I was at his table, with Adrien Thomasson and Ludovic Ajorque. Automatically, I wanted to sit next to them in the dressing room but Kévin Gameiro, who had just signed for Racing too, had taken my place. Now I'm placed between Kévin Gameiro and Thomas Delaine." 'Dimitri Liénard, he's a top bloke!' Who should you sit next to if you want to have a good laugh? "Frankly, everyone laughs with everyone else here. As is often the case, there is a small group that stands out, but I can laugh just as well with Dimitri Liénard as with Alexander Djiku or Colin Dagba. The group gets along so well that everyone laughs with everyone else. But the one who makes me laugh the most is Dimitri Liénard. He's a top bloke! He jokes all the time: during breakfast, during training and even during the matches. As soon as something happens, we look at each other right away!" Who is the locker room DJ? "During the week, it rotates but on the day of the match, I'm usually in charge of the music. I play a bit of everything: US rap, French, Afro, recent songs, old school songs..." In your playlist, do you always include Bande organisée, which you sang during your bizutage [the song every player has to sing in front of the team when they join a new club] at Le Racing? "No, no! I listened to it a lot when it came out because it was a hit at the time. Everyone was listening to it, but now it's gone... I haven't listened to it for a while!" Which player gives the most advice? "Dimitri Liénard! He's the captain. Whether it's before the games or during training, he's the one who talks the most, especially when things aren't going well. It can be about the positioning, the behaviour on the field, how we're managing our emotions... and Dimitri is the first one who comes to defend us with the referee." 'The worst sport I've known here? Ludovic Ajorque!' Who is the worst sport you've played with at the club? "He left the club in January but the worst sport I knew here was Ludovic Ajorque! When he was losing, he stopped talking. As I liked to tease him a lot, it often happened that he would take the ball and shoot it at me [laughs]. We also used to give each other a lot of stick when we played cards with Dimitri Liénard against Adrien Thomasson and Julien Stéphan. We used to give them hell!" Who is the most superstitious in the dressing room? "I don't pay attention to what the others do but, unconsciously, when a match has gone well for us, we often repeat the same things. I think we all have our little routines. Personally, I have some that I do all season." 'Kevin Gameiro has a lot of style - despite his age!' Who has the most style? "In any case, it's not Dimitri Liénard! I'll say Jean-Eudes Aholou. With him, it's good, it's clean... He can arrive with a little branded outfit, slick shoes or a nice shirt. Kévin Gameiro has a lot of style - despite his age! At eight o'clock in the morning, he can arrive with sunglasses and styled hair, which will never be the case for me!" What is your best memory in the locker room at Racing? "After the victory against Rennes (2-1, end of April 2022). The stadium was on fire and so was the locker room! We were level on points with them and we were more than ever in the race for Europe. In the locker room, there was a lot of shouting, music blasting, everyone jumping on each other, getting drunk... In addition to the great atmosphere in the stands, it was huge!" The most surprising thing? "I have an idea but I can't say... it's a whole thing!"
