The Nerazzurri have already missed out on major targets such as Koni De Winter and Giovanni Leoni.

However, there is still a sense that Inter could sign a defender late in the window. Particularly if Benjamin Pavard is to leave.

Therefore, Inter have been sounding out other targets. Including Sevilla and France defender Loic Bade.

In the meantime, however, German club Bayer Leverkusen have also made Bade a priority target.

Inter had hoped to swoop in and hijack Leverkusen’s deal for the 25-year-old, reports suggest.

And Bade himself had reportedly stalled on a move to Leverkusen. If there was a possibility to join Inter, that would have been the France international’s preference.

However, according to Sky Sports Deutschland, Leverkusen are close to getting the deal over the line.

The 2023-24 Bundesliga champions will pay a fee of around €30 million for Bade.

Unless Inter are to make a quick move to sign bade ahead of Leverkusen, Sky Deutschland anticipate that the Frenchman will complete his move early next week.
