Inter Milan are finding their consistency after a “super” Marcus Thuram powered them to a win against Torino.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the Nerazzurri’s defensive issues do, however, remain.

Inter signed off for the international break in some style.

The Nerazzurri’s last Serie A match before the break proved to be quite a wild affair.

There was a sending off and five goals.

Striker Marcus Thuram powered Inter’s attack with a remarkable hattrick, which came after receiving a heavy challenge by Torino defender Guillermo Maripan which saw the Chilean sent off.

But Inter also allowed Torino to score two goals, even at a numerical disadvantage.

This will certainly be a worry for the Nerazzurri. Particularly considering there was a similar issue against Udinese last week, where it was the same scoreline.

Inter Find Their Consistency In Serie A With “Super” Marcus Thuram Vs Torino

The fact that Inter have conceded twice in four out of the seven matches they’ve played in Serie A is a worry.

But there is a sense in the team that they can sort out these issues with hard work and patience.

On the other hand, Inter’s explosive attack looked somewhere close to its best against Torino yesterday.

Thuram was the emblem of that. The Frenchman looked lethal in front of goal, with his pace, technique, and timing proving impossible for the Granata to contain.

But the way that Inter worked their opportunities with crosses from wide areas was equally impressive.

Defender Alessandro Bastoni proved a decisive influence in that respect.

Now, Inter will feel that they’ve really bounced back from their loss to AC Milan in the derby last month.

And this is something the Nerazzurri can build upon after the international break.
