Inter could still take the decision to fine striker Romelu Lukaku and midfielder Nicolo Barella over their incident on the pitch which saw the pair lose their tempers with one another during a Serie A clash with Sampdoria on Monday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the option of a fine is still on the table for the Nerazzurri as they consider their response to that incident.

Barella’s negative body language directed at his teammate Lukaku followed by the Belgian’s angry reaction were certainly a regrettable moment from an Inter perspective, and crossed the line into the unprofessional.

This does not necessarily mean that either or both of the pair will be fined, but it’s not off the table for the club either.

According to the Corriere della Sera, the Nerazzurri will take a little more time to make a decision on the matter.
