Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is seeking a better performance from his team against Frosinone from the one displayed last week.

The Nerazzurri fell short against Sassuolo for the second time this season last Saturday.

While this wasn’t a major problem given that the team has already secured the Serie A title, the new champions are keen to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

Inter will have the chance to do so this evening when they take on Frosinone at the Benito Stripe Stadium.

Before the kickoff, Inzaghi spoke to DAZN (via FcInterNews), and began by congratulating the Serie A clubs for their European exploits.

“First of all, congratulations to Atalanta and Fiorentina for reaching European finals. And well done to Roma who deserved to play the final as well,” said the 48-year-old in his pre-match interview.

Inzaghi then shifted his attention to tonight’s clash. He insisted he’s aware of the threat that the Canarini pose.

“We know the difficulties of this match, which will clearly be a tough one.

“There were some slight aches and pains during the week as it’s always the case. But we had a calm week overall. We worked well.”

Despite last week’s defeat, the former Lazio man felt his side wasn’t too bad against Sassuolo from a technical standpoint.

Yet, he believes Inter must put on a much better performance to come out with a good result this evening.

“The incentives are always there. In Reggio Emilia, we didn’t play a technically bad match. The team created many chances and put on so much effort but the result was disappointing.

“So tonight, we will try to do better than last week.”
