Inter Miami are back in action this weekend to take on New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium, looking to win their third straight game in MLS action.

Despite Miami winning 3-1 over Nashville SC at the weekend, the Herons encountered another injury setback in their camp as they navigate the busy start to the season. While key players like Serhiy Krvystov, Federico Redondo and Robert Taylor remain sidelined for a few more weeks, the Herons' injury list gained two more players in the form of Jordi Alba and Diego Gomez.

Miami boss Gerardo 'Tata' Martino confirmed last Friday that Alba would miss the roughly the next six weeks with a hamstring injury, while the young Gomez is also set to miss the next six weeks after suffering a high-grade ankle sprain last time out vs Nashville. It was difficult moment not only for Gomez -- who's registered two goals and five assists -- and Miami, as the south Florida side's attacking unit is rather depleted with only Messi, Luis Suarez, Leo Afonso and Shanyder Borgelin as the only fit natural forwards available.

Martino sometimes ops for a 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 approach when playing away from home, but given the Revs' poor record in 2024, the former Mexico national team coach might look to start the game on the front foot with his preferred 4-3-3 flat setup. With the likes of Messi and Busquets having already played on an artificial playing surface, there shouldn't be any doubts about them featuring from the jump on Gillette Stadium's turf.

Here's how Miami could lineup against the Revs this Saturday night.

GK: Drake Callender - The veteran shot-stopper stood tall last time out and didn't have much to do after the shock goal that was conceded in the opening minutes.

RB: Marcelo Weigandt - He put up a much better showing against Nashville and will fancy his chances going forward against a Revs defense that has leaked goals at the back in 2024.

CB: Tomas Aviles - Aviles continues to develop and will look to put his best foot forward like he did at the weekend with his spectacular goalline clearance to propel the Herons to victory.

CB: Nicolas Freire - After a few shaky performances at the back, the Argentinian defender will look to rebound in the coming games starting against the toothless New England attack that's score just five goals so far this season.

LB: Franco Negri - With Jordi Alba out of the side for the next several games, Negri gets a chance to prove his worth to Martino in the left-back role.

CM: Julian Gressel - The former Columbus Crew figure will hope to make in impact through his impeccable delivery from set pieces and corner kicks.

CM: Sergio Busquets - The veteran midfield general starts from the jump once again for Miami and continues to age like a fine wine.

CM: David Ruiz - Ruiz gets more minutes under his belt alongside the veteran duo of Gressel of Busquets.

RW: Lionel Messi - No questions here, Messi features from the start and will hope to add to his 13 goal involvements in MLS play.

ST: Luis Suarez - Despite the rumors of the Uruguay international possibly not playing on turf, Suarez remains in the XI and looks to inflict damage upon a brittle Revs backline.

LW: Leo Afonso - The 22-year-old gets a chance on the left-wing due to to Miami's current injury crisis in the attacking department.
