Emerson, 22, is co-owned by Barcelona and Real Betis and is valued by the two clubs at €25 million, with both set to receive 50% of his transfer fee.

Real Betis want to keep the right-back but their financial situation could see them forced to sacrifice the Brazilian this summer.

Barcelona paid €6 million to sign Emerson from Atletico Mineiro in 2018 and want at least €10 million from his sale, which would mean demanding at least €20 million from any of his suitors.

Emerson has always wanted to nail down a spot in Barca’s first team but he does not appear to be part of Ronald Koeman’s future plans.

He is coming to the end of his third season at Real Betis, having scored twice and provided four assists for Manuel Pellegrini’s side during the current campaign.
