For now, there is uncertainty about the signings and departures that will happen this summer. Barcelona have a clear wish list of the players they would like to recruit, but it is hardly a list of guarantees. However, what Barcelona can definitely count on are their incoming loanees and returning players.

That list of returning players, however, will not just include loan players. It will also likely include Alejandro Balde, the 20-year-old Barcelona left-back who missed most of last season due to a muscular injury. As highlighted by SPORT, however, the player is looking to return in time for the pre-season.

Speaking to online fans on ‘The Residency’, the Barcelona defensive prodigy clarified what his current feelings are in regards to his injury and recovery: “Every day I feel better from the injury.”

SPORT also highlights that his return is expected sooner rather than later. Moreover, he will be a normal part of Hansi Flick’s squad for the pre-season, although with a hint of precaution and care as Barcelona do not wish to overextend the player’s limits and end up with him suffering a relapse.

Other topics that the player addressed had to do with La Masia and his teammates. After speaking about his closeness with Ansu Fati, a player whose future is up in the air at the moment, he was asked to comment on his favorite memories from La Masia:

“There are many, but perhaps when we had clásicos, and we all gathered in the living room to watch. We would go wild when Barça scored.”

Lastly, the player even talked about his World Cup call-up to Qatar being his favorite moment with the Spanish National team, and how the Barcelona star wishes to still be with his teammates over in Germany as they face off the rest of Europe’s finest to conquer the 2024 edition of the European Championship.
