Barcelona have imploded in classic Barcelona fashion once again in the Champions League, this time crashing out against PSG in the quarter-finals of the tie.

The Catalans had a 2-3 lead heading into this fixture and everything going right for them across the last two odd months.

They even took the lead in this game early on, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha combining to open the scoring, and the lead looking very safe at 4-2.

Unfortunately, Ronald Araujo picked up a red card in the 29th minute for a professional last man foul, and things started going downhill from there.

PSG eventually came out victors 1-4 (4-6 on aggregate), and the man leading this win? None other than Ousmane Dembele.

The Frenchman received a very hostile reception at the Olympic Montjuic Stadium, with fans burning his jersey before the game, and whistling him during it.

“Barcelona is a great club. I love Barcelona. And I understand the whistles. That’s life,” Dembele said after the tie, during which he scored three across two games, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

PSG started both game on the front-foot, and their approach was solid today, as well, with Luis Enrique’s tactics and lineup selection paying off brilliantly.

Dembele talked about it, too, saying, “We knew we would score goals and go through. The manager’s tactics were perfect and everyone believed in ourselves.”

“I am very happy in Paris, and now we go to the semi-finals,” Dembele concluded.
