Former Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jacques Mahoma has weighed on the controversial interview given by Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Having fallen out of favour at the Premier League club, Ronaldo sat down with Piers Morgan to give an explosive interview in which he claimed he felt betrayed by his club and manager Erik ten Hag.
The 37-year-old did not hold back and also discussed topics such as the Glazers, current and former teammates, and the lack of development at United since Sir Alex Ferguson left.
Ronaldo has come in for criticism from many while there are reports that the Red Devils could cancel his contract but it seems there are some sympathetic with him.
Among those are Maghoma, who has taken to Twitter to weigh in on the situation and suggest that many current and former players would likely do the same if given the opportunity.
The majority of the DR Congo international’s career was spent in the EFL – with either League One or Championship clubs.
Maghoma came through the Tottenham academy before joining Burton Albion in 2009.
After more than 150 appearances in four years for the Brewers a two-year spell at Wednesday followed before he moved to Birmingham, where he would tot up 168 appearances across half a decade.
The 35-year-old left the EFL to join Indian Super League side East Bengal before returning to England with non-league sides Spalding United and Hemel Hempstead Town.
He hung up his boots in October this year.

The Verdict
The majority of public opinion seems to be against Ronaldo and his recent explosive interview but it seems there are some former players that sympathise with his position.
Maghoma clearly feels like he’s had some similar experiences to the Portugal great during his career and would seemingly be keen to get the chance to air his thoughts as well.
Not only that, he’s confident that there are plenty of players that feel the same.
As divisive as Ronaldo’s interviews have been, it may well interest Wednesday, Burton and Birmingham fans to hear what Maghoma had to say.
