The Terriers have been active in the early stages of the 2025 summer transfer window, recruiting Ryan Ledson, Marcus Harness, Sean Roughan and Joe Low at this moment in time.

With Lee Grant now at the helm, Huddersfield will be expected to challenge for the play-offs next term, after finishing 10th in their first season back in the third-tier.

The Terriers are looking to boost their right-back department with a move for Hall, who is a former Netherlands youth international.

According to Dutch journalist Sander de Vries via X, the defender is allowed to leave SC Heerenveen during this window and there is interest from Huddersfield.

2. Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Braunschweig are also reported to be in for Hall’s signature.

The 24-year-old only started five games for the Eredivisie side last season and could swap the Dutch top-flight for the English third-tier to get his career back on track.

Prior to his time with SC Heerenveen, Hall made two first-team appearances for Feyenoord, the club he enjoyed his footballing education with.

A season on loan with ADO Den Haag allowed the full-back to experience his first year of consistent professional football, ultimately securing him a move to SC Heerenveen in 2023, where he has remained ever since.

A move to Huddersfield would be Hall’s first time playing football outside of the Netherlands. His current contract at the Abe Lenstra Stadion is set to expire in 2027, which would require the Terriers to fork out a fee for his services.

Denzel Hall's injury record may be concerning for Huddersfield Town and Lee Grant

Huddersfield fans will be delighted with their club’s current summer business, fuelling real ambition for a promotion push next term.

The Terriers lacked in the right-back department last season but need to make sure a move for Hall isn’t one that proves costly.

According to Transfermarkt, the full-back has already missed 400 days of football in his short career.

A cruciate ligament tear, and a series of knee and hamstring injuries have left Hall sidelined for extended periods of time, something Huddersfield should be wary of as they approach this deal.

The Terriers may have profiled Hall as a defender who ticks all the boxes Grant is looking for in his side, but forking out a transfer fee for an injury-prone operator will immediately have concerns echoing around the John Smith’s Stadium.

Coupled with his lack of experience outside of Holland, a move for Hall could be a potential banana skin for Huddersfield this summer.
