An insight into the reaction of the powers that be at Real Madrid to the lengthy statement released by Barcelona on Monday has come to the fore online.

This comes after Barcelona, as an institution, made crystal clear their feelings with the standard of officiating in last night’s latest edition of El Clásico.

En route to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of arch rivals Real Madrid, the Blaugrana were the victims of what they felt were a number of incorrect decisions, not least a ‘phantom goal’ netted by youngster Lamine Yamal.

President Joan Laporta, in turn, unveiled a public statement, on behalf of all associated with the club.

In the release, showcased below, the Spanish patron goes as far as to claim that, in the case of sufficient evidence being provided to confirm that Lamine’s goal should have been awarded, Barca will request the Clásico to be replayed:

As per a report from club insider José Félix Díaz of Marca:

‘At Real Madrid, the words and veiled threats of the Barça president really don’t matter. From Valdebebas, they think that anyone can use the arguments they want and how they want.’
