Wolves and Leicester City are interested in signing the midfielder.

Brownhill’s Burnley are currently struggling in their return to the Premier League, looking a contender for relegation in early December.

In comparison, Wolves have found some form of late and are well on their way to safety. Leicester are flying in the Championship and look set to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

A move to either of these two clubs would be enticing to Brownhill, who will be keen to make sure he’s playing Premier League football next season.

Brownhill’s wage at Burnley

Brownhill signed his deal on the 30th January 2020 and his deal is rumoured to be up next summer. This might sway Burnley to sell up to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old is on an estimated £45,000 per week, which is £2,340,000 per year, making him the second-highest earner at the club.

If Wolves or Leicester City are to sign Brownhill they should expect to be paying around that amount, if not more, each week.

Brownhill’s wage in comparison to Wolves and Leicester City players

If we compare Brownhill’s wage at Burnley (£45,000) to other players at Wolves, he’s some way off the top earners.

Capology estimates that Spaniard Pablo Sarabia is Wolves' top earner, earning a reported £90,000 per week. Sarabia earns double that of Brownhill at Burnley, suggesting wages shouldn’t be an issue for Wolves.

Brownhill would be earning the same as Craig Dawson and Mario Lemina if he stayed on the same wage. The pair are on an estimated £45,000 per week as well, making up 4.52% of Wolves’ wages.

Compared to Leicester City’s wages, Brownhill is even further off the top earner. Long-term striker Jamie Vardy is on an estimated £140,000 per week, which is extremely high for a Championship player.
