Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane continues and one player that is looking forward to playing against the Englishman, should the move be made official, is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Mario Götze, formerly of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

“It would be a top transfer for the Bundesliga,” said Götze. “We would all be happy. With Kane they would get a certain quality but first and foremost he would be an attraction for the Bundesliga.”

Katie Goodland, Harry Kane’s wife, was spotted in Munich amid Bayern Munich’s interest in the English forward with BILD reporting that Goodland was in Munich over the weekend and is said to have looked at properties in the Grünwald area of the city while also enquiring about international schools.

A meeting between Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and Tottenham’s Daniel Levy is also expected to take place on Friday with negotiations set to continue. Should Kane, who has 12 months remaining on his Tottenham contract, leave the Premier League club then Bayern Munich appears to be his likely destination. The Englishman only has a desire to join the Rekordmeister should he leave, despite an approach from PSG with the French club optimistic of their chances.

Bayern Munich are expected to offer Kane a four-or-five-year contract which would see the forward become one of the club’s top earners, netting over €20m per year – a figure similar to what Sadio Mané was offered when he made the switch from Liverpool last year.
