Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick on Friday turned heads, by way of his comments on an up-and-coming member of the club’s midfield ranks.
The player in question? Marc Casadó.
Youngster Casadó has of course taken his place front and centre in the chatter surrounding Barcelona across the summer to date.
This comes with the 20-year-old, long considered a potential star in the making behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital, having at last been afforded a real chance to prove himself at senior level.
Casadó stood as new manager Hansi Flick’s most used player in pre-season.
And the Spaniard followed up with a start in the Blaugrana’s La Liga curtain-raiser against Valencia last weekend, too.
Speaking to the media in his pre-Athletic Club press conference on Friday, Barca’s headmaster, in turn, was unsurprisingly questioned on Casadó once more.
This time round, though, Flick, specifically, was asked about the comparisons continually being drawn between the midfield talent, and Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.
The two have recently been likened not only owing to playing style, but physical appearance, too, with Flick in agreement that, from the latter standpoint at least, he can see why:
“From a physical point of view Casadó can be compared to Kimmich.”
