The Green Brigade have issued a brilliant response to the Livingston FC after they bemoaned the group’s display at the Tony Macaroni Stadium on Sunday. Celtic won the game comfortably and they were supported by the colourful Celtic support, who had a pre-match tifo celebrating the leaders of 1916 then a half-time message to the players, with a nod to James Connolly.
In a social media post, the GB tagged Livi with the caption ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’, which was well rehearsed on Sunday.
Livingston were criticised in the wake of the 3-0 defeat on social media, primarily from other Scottish teams, for giving three stands to Celtic supporters and then allowing the displays to take place. This prompted the West Lothian side to issue a statement.
It has been a difficult season for the GB, who had to contend with a ban from the ground, which coincided with a dip in form. The supporters bring a vibrancy to the corner of Celtic Park and they will be required for the run-in as the team require support from the stands.
The supporters have announced a pre-match action ahead of Sunday’s Glasgow Derby against Rangers. Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic will meet at Celtic Park to wave off the team on Saturday as they depart for the hotel ahead of Ibrox.
