La Liga outfit Girona have on Monday secured a pair of much-needed reinforcements to the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation of deals for a pair of attackers.
First up comes Vladyslav Vanat.
The name of frontman Vanat had emerged as a prominent one in the transfer chatter surrounding Girona for several weeks now.
This came after confirmation was forthcoming that the Ukrainian had been identified as a leading target on the part of the Montilivi brass.
And as alluded to above, just hours out from the transfer deadline, Girona have secured their man.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Catalans:
‘Girona FC has reached an agreement with Dynamo Kyiv for the transfer of Ukrainian striker Vladyslav Vanat, 23, who will join the Club on a 5-year contract.’
And all set to join Vanat in Míchel’s struggling squad before the day is out is Bryan Gil.
Winger Gil spent last season plying his trade on loan with Girona, from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
And the Spaniard along the way evidently did enough to convince the Blanquivermells of his readiness to contribute in the long-term.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of The Athletic that:
‘Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is set to join Girona on a permanent basis in a deal that could reach up to €10million (£8.67m). Girona will pay an upfront fee of around €6m, along with €4m worth of add-ons.’
