Flamengo have been dealt a blow after midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta has been ruled out for up to three weeks through injury.
The 27-year-old was released from the Uruguay camp after sustaining a thigh problem, which UOL Esporte has reported is a âgrade 2 strainâ.
Renato GaĂșchoâs men have been beset by injuries in recent weeks, and could well have done without this latest setback.
The Rubro-Negro defeated Fortaleza 3-0 on Saturday to keep their bid to win a third consecutive BrasileirĂŁo on track.
They currently trail leaders Atlético Mineiro by 11 points, but do have two games in hand.
De Arrascaetaâs absence couldnât have come at a more inopportune time, with the MengĂŁo facing a schedule that includes a number of vital league games and a two-legged Copa do Brasil semi-final against Athletico Paranaense.
