Galatasaray agree deal for Ilkay Gündogan

Ilkay Gündogan is nearing a move to join Galatasaray after the Turkish side agreed a deal with Manchester City.

The midfielder returned to the Etihad Stadium last summer after one season with Barcelona. In total, the German played 54 games in all competitions over the season, chipping in with five goals and six assists.

Now the 34-year-old is set to leave City once again with Galatasaray keen to sign the player.

Gündogan has Turkish family and a move to Gala would be his first time playing in the country. The deal is close to completion but requires the player to agree to a two-year deal before it is finalised according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
