Rayan Cherki of Olympique Lyonnais has attracted the attention of several top European clubs this summer, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, there’s another Premier League club attempting to make a last-minute swoop for the player.

There have been conflicting reports regarding PSG’s renewed interest in the Frenchman. Nonetheless, L’Equipe recently reported that Cherki has a preference if he does leave OL this summer.

According to the French media outlet, Cherki hopes PSG will reignite their interest in him. While he’s received attention from Premier League clubs, he’s not keen on moving there at the moment.

Still, this news isn’t stopping English clubs from pursuing Cherki and The Athletic’s Peter Rutzler reports that Fulham have submitted an offer for the attacking midfielder. The Premier League side’s bid for the Frenchman is worth an initial £12 million, with further add-ons, per Rutzler.

Rutzler’s information also notes that Crystal Palace retains an interest but have yet to submit an offer. Cherki is in the final year of his contract at Lyon and has been training separately from his teammates as he prepares for a potential transfer before next week’s deadline.

Moreover, Fulham received more good news as journalist Abdellah Boulma reported on Wednesday that PSG have decided not to pursue Cherki, and the matter is closed. One key reason is their reluctance to negotiate with OL owner John Textor.

Cherki broke into the first team in 2019 and has 141 appearances across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and registering 25 assists during his time with Les Gones.
