Fred Amaku joins URA FC
In Uganda, Fred Amaku will be wearing the colors of URA FC next season.
The Ugandan striker has signed a two-year deal with the Tax Collectors, joining from Kitara FC where his contract had just expired. The club announced the news on Wednesday, August 6, via its official website, hailing the arrival of a "prolific goalscorer." Amaku himself did not hide his excitement:
This is a big step in my career. I am ready to take up the challenge. URA is an ambitious club and I want to be part of its story.
Courted by Maroons FC and even his former club Kitara, Fred Amaku ultimately chose URA, drawn in by the club's sporting project. He becomes the team’s third summer signing, following Kabon Living (forward) and Chrispas Kusiima (goalkeeper). URA is making a statement and showing real ambition for the new season.
