Arsenal midfielder Jorginho clear about his support for AC Milan in Tottenham Hotspur clash

Jorginho has played for two of Tottenham Hotspur’s biggest rivals – Chelsea and Arsenal.

Hence, it is not a surprise that he will be backing AC Milan to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round-of-16 clash this week at San Siro.

Asked about the game against AC Milan and Tottenham at N17 later this week, the former Chelsea midfielder told DAZN (h/t Football.London):

“Forza Milan. The matches with Tottenham are those Arsenal fans look forward to the most. I am sure they will all support Milan.”

No surprise

The Italy international seems to be in the twilight years of his career considering the way he was sold by Chelsea to a direct rival in Arsenal last month. That too when the Gunners are looking set to win the title.

Jorginho’s answer comes as no surprise. Even though he played for Napoli during his time in Serie A, he would still have some allegiance towards teams from Serie A when they take on a direct London rival.

We face them on 8 March in north London and there is a belief that manager Antonio Conte could be back in the dugout after recovering from gallbladder surgery. Given the tie is at home, we will automatically favourites to win if we score once.

Our fans have to be at the top of their game because, in such high-profile games, a good display from the team may not be enough. It’s about getting the result against the seven-time Champions League winners, and hopefully, we have enough in our tanker to get across the line.
