Jesse Bosch has now swapped the Netherlands for Poland. The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a multi-year contract with GKS Katowice.
Willem II will not receive a transfer fee for Bosch’s departure, as he leaves the Tilburg club on a free transfer upon his contract’s expiry on the 15th of August. The Twente native reportedly also had options in the Eredivisie, Finland, and Portugal, but will play his matches for Katowice.
The three-time cup winner finished eighth in the Ekstraklasa last season and are currently 16th. At Katowice, which boasts a brand-new stadium, Bosch will be playing outside of the Netherlands for the first time.
Bosch made his professional debut with FC Twente and has been under contract with Willem II for the past three seasons. He has made 110 appearances in the Tricolores shirt.
Before the away match against ADO Den Haag, Bosch said goodbye to his former teammates and didn’t board the team bus to the capital. Willem II started the season on Sunday in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie with an embarrassing 5-1 defeat .
