Flamengo officially announced on Friday that 34-year-old right-back Rafinha has left the club and will head to Greece to play for Olympiacos.

Thanks to a clause in his contract, Rafinha will leave on a free transfer to pursue European football once again. He will sign a two-year deal with a better financial package than what was offered in Brazil.

Despite only being at Flamengo for a year, Rafinha’s impact was immaculate, helping the club win the Copa Libertadores, Brasileirão, Supercopa do Brasil, Recopa Sudamericana and Campeonato Carioca titles.

During Rafinha’s Flamengo career, he featured 46 times for the club, winning 34 of the games he played in, also earning seven draws and suffering just five defeats.
